Recently, Suzhou Harmo Food Machinery designed a customized dual-purpose chocolate production line for a customer in South America, enabling the production of both chocolate bars and chocolate chips (or chocolate drops) on a single line.

The customer wanted a solution that could quickly switch between two popular chocolate products without purchasing two independent production lines. After evaluating the customer's production requirements and factory layout, Harmo's engineering team developed an integrated chocolate moulding and depositing system that maximizes equipment utilization while maintaining high product quality.

 

Fully Automatic Chocolate Bar Production

When producing chocolate bars, the line performs the entire manufacturing process automatically. The production sequence includes:

  • Automatic chocolate mould feeding
  • Precision chocolate depositing
  • Mould vibrating to remove air bubbles
  • Continuous cooling in the cooling tunnel
  • Automatic chocolate demoulding
  • Automatic transfer of finished chocolate bars to a flow wrapping machine
  • Automatic return and reloading of empty moulds for the next production cycle

This fully automated process minimizes manual labor, improves production efficiency, and ensures consistent product appearance and weight.

The designed production capacity for 500 g chocolate bars reaches 300 kg per hour, making the line suitable for medium and large-scale chocolate manufacturers.

Efficient Chocolate Chips and Drops Production

By changing the depositing configuration and production settings, the same production line can also manufacture small chocolate chips or chocolate drops.

After depositing, the chocolate chips pass through the cooling tunnel, where precise temperature control ensures uniform crystallization and excellent product quality. At the discharge end of the tunnel, the finished chocolate chips are automatically collected and conveyed directly to a vertical packaging machine, creating a continuous and efficient production process.

For 0.1 g chocolate chips, the production capacity reaches 250 kg per hour, meeting the high-volume requirements of industrial bakeries, confectionery manufacturers, and chocolate ingredient suppliers.
